Village of Pewaukee Police Commission
Meeting Minutes
November 16, 2022

I. Call to Order/Roll Call
Secretary McNeill called the meeting of the Village of Pewaukee Police Commission to order at 5:32 p.m. on November 16, 2022, in the Village Hall Board Room. 
Secretary McNeill conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: Commissioners William Gehrking, Jill Bloedow and Secretary Mary McNeill.  President Spakowicz and Commissioner Rohde were excused from the meeting.
Chief Timothy Heier was also present.

II. Citizen Comments
There were no citizen comments nor were there any citizens present at the police commission meeting.

III. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting
The minutes of the September 26, 2022 meeting were presented for review.
Commissioner Gehrking made a motion to accept the minutes as presented.
Commissioner Bloedow seconded the motion. The motion passed unanimously.

IV. Closed Session
Commissioner Bloedow made a motion that the Police Commission move into closed session pursuant to Wisconsin Statues Section 19.85(1) (c) to consider employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body had jurisdiction or exercises responsibility specifically regarding Police Officer candidates.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Gehrking. A roll call vote was taken by Secretary McNeill. The motion passed unanimously. The commission moved into closed session at 5:33 p.m.

V. Reconvene into Open Session
Commissioner Gehrking made a motion to reconvene into open session.
Commissioner Bloedow seconded the motion. Secretary McNeill took a roll call voteand the vote passed unanimously. The Commission reconvened into open session at 6:02 p.m.

VI. Possible Action on Officer Candidates
Commissioner Bloedow made a motion to dissolve the current waiting list and open a new hiring process based on the new SRO position. Commissioner Gehrking seconded the motion. Secretary McNeill took a roll call vote and the vote passed unanimously. 

VII. Adjournment
Commissioner Gehrking made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Commissioner Bloedow. The motion was passed unanimously. Secretary McNeill adjourned the meeting at 6:11 p.m.
