The Village of Pewaukee seeks a full-time Utility Operator!

The Village of Pewaukee (pop. 8,215) is the home of a beautiful lake community.

Applications for a full-time Utility Operator are currently being accepted.

Utility Operators are responsible for assisting with the operation and maintenance of the water distribution system, wastewater transmission lines, and lift stations; including system monitoring and record keeping, water system repairs, system flushing, inspection, hydrant maintenance, valve exercising, water meter replacement, sampling and testing, diggers hotlines and after hour emergencies calls. Experience in electrical, plumbing, and/or excavation is a plus.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with the ability to be available for 24-hour call-in for emergencies and winter operations. Weekend stand-by duty is required on a rotating basis.

Successful candidates shall possess a high school diploma/GED, and a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License is preferred. A certificate/license in Groundwater, Distribution, Wastewater, and Collection Systems is desired.

Starting pay range: $26-$30/hour
