 (Customer Service/Administrative Assistant)

The Village of Pewaukee (pop. 8,215) is the home of a beautiful lake community. The Village is searching for our next team member to fill the Deputy Clerk position, similar to a customer service/administrative assistant position. 

This position is responsible for assisting the Village Clerk with duties that include but are not limited to:

  • - Customer service via phone and in-person,
    Election administration,
    Administering application/license processing
    Secretary to the Plan Commission and Board of Review,
    Records management,
    Website/Social Media management,
    Cemetery management,
    Excellent organizational skills,
    Cooperation/communication with all Village Department Heads and Board members.   

Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Evening and night hours are required monthly for meetings and elections. 

Successful candidates shall possess a minimum of a high school diploma, two to three years of related experience (such as moderate administrative experience or municipal experience) in addition to strong communication and computer skills (Microsoft Office). Any experience in WisVote, Caselle, or other office/accounting software is preferred.

Pay Range: $45,198 - $66,953 per year depending on qualifications.

  • - Must be at least 18 years of age (or 16+ if eligible student inspector)

Election Inspector Application 

Department of Public Works Temporary Summer Employees

The Village of Pewaukee is seeking motivated individuals over 18 years of age for full-time summer employment focusing on aquatic plant collection, and village ground maintenance. Duties may vary but will generally be dedicated to harvesting and collecting lake weeds, and maintenance of Village properties and buildings. Must be willing to work outside all day in most weather conditions.

Applicants must possess the ability to operate aquatic plant harvesting and collecting watercraft, drive a truck and trailer combination, and operate small machinery such as zero-turn lawnmowers. Training will be provided. Wisconsin law requires those born on or after January 1, 1989, to pass a boater safety course and to carry a boater education card.

Hours will be 7 am – 3 pm, Monday through Friday. The starting rate of pay for the position is $16.00 per hour.

The Village of Pewaukee seeks a full-time Equipment Operator!

The Village of Pewaukee (pop. 8,215) is the home of a beautiful lake community. 

Applications for a full-time Equipment Operator are currently being accepted.  

Candidates must have the ability and experience to operate many different pieces of equipment, including, but not limited to, lawn mowers, back-hoes, wheel loaders, skid steer, street sweepers, dump trucks, jet-vac truck, bucket truck, and other power equipment used in snow removal, and improvements in landscaping, streets, and facilities. Concrete/asphalt experience is desired. Experience operating a dump truck with a plow and a wing is strongly preferred.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with the ability to be available for 24-hour call-in for emergencies and winter operations. Weekend stand-by duty is required on a rotating basis.

Successful candidates shall possess a high school diploma/GED, and a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License is required within six months of hire.    

Starting pay range: $26-$30/hour
