Annual Report, Resignation, and Recognition

Village of Pewaukee Police Commission Meeting Minutes
March 15, 2021

I. Call to Order/Roll Call

President Spakowicz called the meeting of the Village of Pewaukee Police Commission to order at 6:01 p.m. on March 15, 2021 in the Village Hall Board Room. Secretary McNeill conducted a roll call. The following persons were present: President David Spakowicz, Commissioners William Gehrking, Thomas Houck, Peter Rohde and Secretary Mary McNeill. Also present were Chief Timothy Heier and Lt. Garry. Village resident Jill Bloedow was present as a visitor.

II. Citizen Comments

There were no citizen comments or correspondence from the public presented to the commission.

III. Approval of Minutes of Previous Meetings

Discussion commenced regarding the minutes from the September 14, 2020 meeting. It was determined there would be a change made regarding the statement of the eligibility list. Commissioner Rohde made a motion to accept the minutes for the May 27, 2020 and December 17, 2020 meetings as written and to accept the minutes of the September 14, 2020 meeting with the discussed changes made. Commissioner Gehrking seconded the motion. The vote passed unanimously. All copies of the approved meeting minutes well be submitted to the Village Clerk.

IV. Review of the 2020 Annual Report

All commissioners were provided a copy of the 2020 Annual Report for the Pewaukee Police Department. Chief Heier then reviewed the information contained in the report with the commission. Chief Heier stated the report was posted on-line for the public. It was also posted on the departments web site and could be accessed through a link on the departments Facebook page.

V. Resignation and Recognition of Commissioner Thomas Houck

President Spakowicz then presented Commissioner Houck with a plaque from the commission to reflect their appreciation for Commissioner Houck's 12 years of service to the Village and the Commission. President Spakowicz also detailed Commissioner Houck's participation in the numerous hiring's and promotions within the department. The entire commission thanked Commissioner Houck for his service.

VI. Adjournment

The next commission meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 6:00
p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to conduct police officer applicant interviews.

Commissioner Houck made a motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Commissioner Gehrking. The motion was passed unanimously. President Spakowicz adjourned the meeting at 7:27 p.m.
