The Village contracts with the City of Pewaukee for building permits and inspections.
A permit may be required for new construction or remodeling projects. Please contact the Village before beginning work to determine if a permit is required and to obtain the appropriate application.
Projects that require a permit include:
- remodeling and new construction
- roofing
- driveway installations - If you are doing work in the Village Right-of-Way, that requires a separate permit. Please click the link.
- erosion control
- plumbing
- heating and cooling
- electrical
- property grading
For mechanical permits, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, please submit payment with your application.
For all other permits, you will be notified when your permit has been issued. You may then visit the Inspections Department, located on the second floor of City Hall, to obtain your permit and pay the applicable permit fee. Work may not begin until the required permit has been issued.
